A hovercraft, also known as an air-cushion vehicle or ACV, is an amphibious craft capable of travelling over land, water, mud, ice, and other surfaces.. Hovercraft use blowers to produce a large volume of air below the hull, or air cushion, that is slightly above atmospheric pressure. The pressure difference between the higher pressure air below the hull and lower pressure ambient air above it. For example, hovercraft have been used for decades to ferry people back and forth across the English Channel between the United Kingdom and France. See also Ocean. Resources books. Amyot, J.R. Hovercrafts are also referred as air cushion vehicles and are extensively used for military and commercial applications. A hovercraft is a vehicles which is specially designed, to be wholly or partially supported, at least some of the time during their travel over the surface by a thin cushion or film of gaseous fluid which is generally air. construction kit was for a hovercraft model with one lifting fan and two propelling fans. We constructed these two hovercraft models, as shown below. With reference to the two constructed hovercraft models, a computer simulation model of a hovercraft to be used by ENES students was created. This was done because Dr. Zhang has been.

It is from this evolution that the hovercraft arose. between the hovercraft and the ground reduces to a very small amount.

Since a hovercraft does not have wheels, the forward motion is created through the propelling action, which is generated by the use of a propulsion fan and/or a set of fans.

These propelling fans send air out of the back of the hovercraft to. RC Hovercraft 1. Project members: Rana Bilal Mujahid Aziz Naseer Ahmed Project Advisor Sir Hassan Ahmed 2.
